Established in 1933 on the Far North Coast of Fresh South Wales, Australia, the Northern Cooperative Meat Company (NC MC) is a cooperatively owned service provider with a long tradition in maintaining and enhancing the manufacture, marketing and distribution of the choice quality food products to the world. The Cooperatives business is to bear world class processing facilities and to enhance the development of its customers. Our corporate governance practices are set out in: Neil became a Director of the Cooperative in 2011. Neil became a Director of the Cooperative in 2013 and currently sits on the Board’s Risk Committee. Ron became a Director of the Cooperative in 2008. John has a mighty family background in the Northern Rivers cattle industry and is currently operating a beef breeder enterprise targeting the veal market with progeny primarily being direct consigned to NC MC. John’s background provides him with a expansive understanding and appreciation of the red meat and livestock industry. John has taken an energetic role in industry issues and advocated the cattle industry wherever possible. Neil has been involved in the beef cattle industry his complete life. Neil started out managing properties for others in Queensland. The property produces leaner cattle and grain assisted veal for local trade. Trevor has been involved in the meat industry for 25 years. This has positioned him within his current role as Quality Systems' Manager of the NC MC Group. Greg has been working in the maintenance and engineering industry for 25 years. The knowledge and experience he has gained in conjunction with extensive studies has allowed him to prosper from an apprentice fitter and machinist to his stylish position as Group Engineering Manager of NC MC. Commencing with the Northern Cooperative Meat Company Ltd in 2002 as boning room supervisor at the organizations pork processing facility, Corey progressed to the role of production manager for the next eight years. Goff has been involved in the meat industry for 25 years. During this time Goff has also completed a Diploma in Meat Processing and other associated industry based studies and training courses. This has allowed Goff to work his way into the vogue position of Plant Manager.

The plant is based in Casino, Northern MSW. To minimize stress induced meat quality problems the animal’s welfare is respected at all times and shaded yards and fresh water are provided. Cattle are also washed to lessen hide contamination and to ensure the carcass is dressed hygienically. Our facility has the capability to process 12,500 bovines per week. The modern plant has two segregate processing floors. Recent history has demonstrated that product tractability is an essential and vital component in complete product management. CAP assigns an individual identification number to each animal at the time of slaughter. This number becomes the mechanism for tracking the carcass through processing Government inspection, chilling and fabrication. CAP maintains a secure segregation system for carcass premeditated for the EU, Halal and Organic markets. The segregation system ensures compliance with the above markets. The plant implements stringent product hygiene standards and operates a state of the art computerized refrigeration plant that optimisms the storage life for chilled and frozen products. Our customers may request the Cooperative to yield the services of a highly trained Chiller Assessor or an autonomous Meat Standards Australia Grader to assess carcass and advise on the most relevant final product use. This service can bear information such as: marbling, ossification for age, meat color, chubby color and DH. Considering a career as a livestock consultant? Our porcine processing plant exports AUSMeat A rated pork products to markets around the world. Casino Conceal Tanners is one of Australia's largest tannery's, producing superior hides and leather. Our Casino processing facility specialisms in the manufacture distribution of the finest quality beef veal. NC MC Foods is the umbrella company incorporating our processing facilities retail brands. San Marla is NC MC's farm, worn for both production and waste water treatment.
